Position
Summary:
Acceptance Insurance is growing and that growth is driving the need to enhance the depth of the Auto Claims Adjuster teams in our Lombard Regional Claims Center. We currently have immediate openings for experienced 1st and 3rd party adjusters.
These positions will concentrate on investigation, evaluation and settlement of 1st party or 3rd party liability losses including property damage and bodily injury exposures. If you have 1 - 3 years of experience handling auto insurance claims and would like to discuss the opportunities available for you with a company that is growing, we would like to hear from you.
Investigate, evaluate and conclude all third party liability losses including property damage and bodily injury exposures based on the handling guidelines with minimal supervision. Must have an understanding of the auto insurance policy and the principles of coverage, liability and negligence.
Responsibilities:
Have an understanding of the auto insurance policy and the principles of coverage, liability and negligence.
Be highly motivated and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast pace environment while providing excellent telephone customer service and low occurrence of complaints.
Have proficiency in handling complex liability and bodily injury claims.
Have advanced knowledge of bodily injury settlements, demand evaluations and office Time Limit Demand guidelines.
Be able to handle third party total losses.
Have the ability to multitask and maintain a high level of desk organization through maintaining diary, note pad and closing ratio per established goals.
Have strong verbal communication skills.
Have strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Willingness to assist in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A college degree (preferred) or relevant work experience.
The knowledge and ability to handle multiple states with regard to the salvage laws and procedures.
Have the ability to interpret policy language, complex coverage and legal issues as well effective application of state negligence laws.
Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Computer proficiency with the ability to learn customer service software applications.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Good telephone manner to enhance relationships with customers and agents.
Possess or be able to obtain applicable adjuster licenses.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
