The Business System Analyst will maintain and support the practice management and clinical system applications of Lexington Health Network. The Business System Analyst works with clinical and finance staff to support the clinical reports, scheduling, billing, claims management and reporting needs of the organization. The Business System Analyst will use statistical analysis to generate business intelligent reports to be distributed to the senior management and local manager.
Position
Responsibilities:
Supports and enhances current practice management systems and implement new systems.
Responsible for set up and support of electronic claim submission and remittance.
Assists end-users with analyzing information needs, writing business and financial reports.
Key contributor on business and functional application design with multidisciplinary teams including clinical and financial staff.
Analyze and identify issues or problems which may require changes to application systems.
Works with managers and staff to ensure implemented solution achieves intended objectives.
Designs specifications for project implementations, reports, reconciliation and problem review
Verifies accuracy of data through SQL analysis, financial balancing, and validation with clinical staff.
Ensures application upgrades are coordinated with the Information Technology Department.
Provides end user documentation including User Guides, knowledge base, and FAQ's.
Engage outside vendors for support and product enhancements.
QA test application upgrades and patches in a QA environment prior to release to production.
Tracks progress and communicate project status along with managing project deliverables and due dates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or Computer Science.
3 years' experience as business analysis.
Strong knowledge of data analysis concepts; including SQL analysis, database management, and statistical analysis.
Experience with Crystal reporting and Prophix applications.
Experience and strong working knowledge practice management and clinical EMR applications.
Ability to understand data structure and collaborate with non-technical staff to analyze needs and communicate system capabilities.
Experience with HL7, SQL stored procedures, and data mapping.
3-5 years progressive experience with relational databases
Strong project management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate information to technical and non-technical staff
Expert problem solver and critical thinker. Ability to use conflict management skills to apply simple solutions to a complex problem.
Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
