Responsibilities This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning, leveling, and setting up forms - Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power equipment - Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using trowels or other tools - Operate power tools such as jackhammers and concrete saws - Assist in the installation of reinforcing materials such as rebar - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area Structural, preventative, and aesthetic concrete repairs to Parking Structures and Building Facades Sealant replacement Deck Coatings / Waterproofing Partial and full depth repairs Swing stage fa ade repairs and sealant replacement Masonry repair and restoration Qualifications - Previous experience as a Concrete Laborer or similar role in the construction industry - Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques - Familiarity with construction equipment and tools - Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions - Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials - Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment High school degree or equivalent experience.
OSHA 10 or 30 hour training.
Self motivated.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with fa ade repairs and parking structure repairs is a bonus but not a requirement.
Ability to work as a team.
Duties:
- Perform various concrete labor tasks such as pouring, leveling, and finishing - Assist with frame carpentry and blueprint reading for concrete construction projects - Caulk and seal joints to ensure water-tightness - Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, pumps, and power tools - Lift and move heavy materials and equipment as needed - Assist carpenters with tasks such as framing, welding, and plastering - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area Skills:
- Experience in concrete labor or related field preferred - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans - Knowledge of frame carpentry techniques and practices - Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as mixers and power tools - Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects - Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Excellent teamwork and communication skills Job Type:
