Full time position must be avalible Monday through Friday, from 7AM - 3PM or 12PM-7PM.
This position requires a practical knowledge of dog behavior as well as animal handling skills.
Ideal candidate will have worked in a daycare, kennel, shelter, veterinary office or rescue organization.
Job Duties:
Supervise group activities with multiple dogs at a time throughout the day.
Creating great socialization opportunities for dogs Engage in play activities with pets including:
fetch, boundary games, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall and basic obedience games, etc.
Monitor each dog closely for changes in behavior, identify the individuals needs and make adjustments accordingly.
Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our cleaning protocols throughout the shift.
Monitor dog's health and behavior, documenting any changes and reporting any issues.
Daily pictures.
Other duties as assigned.
The right candidate will possess these qualities:
A passion for dogs and their care.
Willing to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety.
Focuses on safe and gentle handling.
Forceful, aversive, aggressive handling, vocalizing or treatment will not be tolerated.
Customer service oriented with the ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
Responds promptly to customer's request for service and assistance.
Ability to communicate with sincerity with clients, both written and orally, about their dog.
Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing etc.
Ability to handle conflict resolution with respect, discretion and diplomacy.
Good team work and willingness to assist other departments and coworkers as necessary.
Cheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitude.
Strong attention to detail, especially where documentation is concerned.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to take direction well and apply it independently.
Ability to work outside in all temperatures and weather conditions.
Must be comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and to lift up to 60 lbs.
All staff are expected to project a professional appearance and be able to effectively communicate with clients and staff alike.
