They will be assisting in the following functional areas:
Onboarding, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, record keeping and electronic and manual filing.
Following and demonstrating HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Advises management of employee issues.
Responsibilities Benefits coordination Handle confidential employee information with appropriate discretion Administer drug and alcohol testing program companywide Administer background check and references for prospective and current employees Employee relations, employee orientation, and training Policy coordination, enforcement and documentation Company employee communication Assist with employee safety, welfare, wellness and health Assist with recruiting and staffing logistics Employee services and counseling Electronic and manual filing Assist with payroll as needed All other duties as assigned by manager or management.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in HR, Communications, Psychology or related field 3
Years of experience working in Human Resources Must be able to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship Work out of our Lombard office with the ability to go to our Griffith, IN office bi-weekly Technical Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong background in Benefit Administration, plan designs and legal requirements Experience with HRIS system, ADP preferred Keyboarding skills; Proficient in MS Office applications, PC Recruiter and Internet Search Engines Attention to detail is key as mistakes in offer letters or payroll paperwork could cause major problems Good at research and fact finding as needed to check out candidates or sources resumes People Skills Personable and able to work easily with others at all levels Flexible and adaptable Takes initiative Ability to handle difficult individuals and remain calm when employees or candidates are confrontational Extroverted personality, able to initiate and follow through on assignments with little coaching Strong tendency to read and respond to body language and verbal cues Tenacious and has the creativity and determination to continue with even the most difficult assignments Organizational Skills Must be well organized and able to prioritize work Ability to set and track goals Ability to multi-task and work on more than one project at a time Able to commit to and meet project deadlines, and driven to provide outstanding service to both external and internal customers Takes ownership of work thru project completion Must keep work area neat, clean and organized Valdes Architecture & Engineering Company is looking for bright and talented people that want to take their career to the next level.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
