Be a part of something big as we continue our growth story together!Position OverviewThe Trust Operations Officer is involved in all areas of Trust Operations including post income balancing, asset receipts/delivers, and trade settlements.
While primary responsibilities revolve around posting and balancing income, the incumbent will share responsibilities with Trust Specialists to provide in-depth operations.
In addition to the daily operation responsibilities, this role may have projects related to process improvements and change management initiatives.
Highly coveted skills include problem-resolution, commitment to ownership and accountability - identifying issues and doggedly pursuing resolution, aptitude and ability to leverage trust software systems to achieve results, and the interest and ability toward change management, not only solving today's problems, but thinking ahead for enhancements and efficiencies to improve processes and outcomes.
This role will liaise with team members and external partners daily; incumbent must be committed to a knowledge-share mindset and foster the same amongst colleagues.
Essential Job FunctionsExecute and collaborate with team members for daily operations.
Troubleshoot problems, perform root-cause analysis and deploy solutions.
Discover opportunities for efficiencies and enhancements; recommend and execute projects to initiate solutions.
Project manage short and long-term operational solutions; leverage team to participate as appropriate.
Manage posting and balancing income:
Process income, dividends, maturities and calls for holdings held at various custodians.
Process scheduled payments for Trust accounts (e.
g.
checks, ACH, wires) and process receipts (e.
g.
rents, note payments, misc.
scheduled receipts).
Maintain daily blotters and balances daily work.
Send appropriate correspondence for address changes banking information changes in accordance with internal controls.
Produce OFAC file and cross checks FINcen list.
Set up accounts on Trust Reporter.
Interact with client for password assistance.
Additional ResponsibilitiesProvide team support for asset receipt and deliveries, and trade settlements, as follows:
Perform trade settlement for stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
Perform reconciliation of assets held at various custodians.
Balance Trust checking account daily and internal accounts monthly.
Process Common Trust Fund valuations and trades.
Process sweep vehicles for trust accounts.
Perform transfers, incoming and outgoing assets thru ACAT system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degree or equivalent and three or more year of experience in trust operations, investments, wealth management, financial services, bank operations or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This role is onsite daily.
Primary location may be Lombard, or Aurora, IL.
Initial training will be in Aurora, IL.
May be requested to split time between Lombard and Aurora locations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
