The Real Estate Manager is responsible for managing the Hertz real estate portfolio within an assigned area and across all divisionsThe objective of the position is to serve as an asset / property manager for an assigned territoryWe are flexible on the location for the position but ideally would be located near a major Midwest or East Coast cityKey Responsibilities Include:
Manage workflow of all incoming deals & service requestsAssist Director, Real Estate with special projects & reports for senior managementManage site searches for both new locations and relocations as requested by OperationsReview and administer leases in order to ensure Company compliance with all lease provisions and obligationsDispose of surplus propertyReview Real Estate Summaries (RESs) prepared by Operations & his/her staff, for compliance with Hertz standards and policies (cost, terms, conditions, etc.

Timely processing & accuracy of RESs Ensure proper procedures are followed with regard to RE decisions/approvalsEnsure compliance of RES with corporate standardsMake certain that RE disputes are handled in a timely fashionEnsure proper documentation/approvals are provided with any Lease decisionsEnsure all RE deadlines (renewal options, expirations etc) are metMake sure all executed leases & contracts comply with company policiesTravel as required for the positionEducational Background:
Bachelors Degree - preferably in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline or equivalent experienceProfessional
Experience:
At least 3-6 years of related work experience preferably in Law, Real Estate, or Property ManagementKnowledge:
In depth knowledge of RE Finance and RE PrinciplesFinance & Business acumen Skills:
Detailed oriented & ability to read, understand and abstract legal contracts while keeping organized on numerous assignmentsWork independently with little or no supervisionAbility to prepare documents using computer software programs such as Excel and Microsoft WordExceptional communications, organizational, and multitasking skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office Suite applicationsAbility to interact with all levels of management & outside vendors (Landlords) Ability to manage large Real Estate portfolio with high work volumeFlexibility to learn new programs and adapt to process changes.
